About me
My name is Nico,
I was born in south-west France and spent the first 18 years of my life there. Although the country was beautiful, the living conditions didn't appeal much to me and always wanted to leave.
Nearly a decade ago, I packed a suitcase and left for a better life, starting with Australia.
Not knowing much about it originally, I quickly found out that I had landed on the most beautiful country on earth. I wake up everyday to the sound of Magpies and Rainbow Lorikeets, feeling grateful to live in such a beautiful place.
In 2021, I discovered Bitcoin, and it changed my life. It allowed me to save and learn a lot about money and its purpose in the world.
Through those years, I spent countless hours learning about what it is, how it works, and built and tested countless wallet setups. I survived through many cryptocurrency exchange collapses, scams, hacks and (nearly) two bear markets.
Like many people, I made mistakes early on and had to learn the hard way. Today, I want to share what I've learned and help others avoid the same mistakes through their journey in Bitcoin.
I founded Dive Into Bitcoin because I wanted to help others understand Bitcoin, take control of their own money, and build the confidence to self-custody it securely.
How it started
Today’s money is broken, most of us know it.
Inflation erodes our savings and the cost of living continuously increases. Banks and government can do as they please while we suffer the consequence from it.
I saw it in France, where I spent the first 18 years of my life, and in Australia, where I've lived ever since.
I grew tired of watching this cycle and felt like there was no way out.
That's until I found Bitcoin. A decentralised peer-to-peer electronic cash system that is deflationary by design with a 21 million supply cap.
No central authority has control over your funds, or the fundamentals of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin gave me a way to opt out, so I took it.
Founding Dive Into Bitcoin
I founded Dive Into Bitcoin to create a space for people to learn about Bitcoin without all the noise and explain it in a way that makes sense to all.
Through it, I share over 5 years of experience in the Bitcoin space. How to use Bitcoin, what to avoid and great products I recommend and use.
There's many benefit to gain from using Bitcoin. Having complete control is one of them, and to me one of the greatest. This high level of control however, also carries great responsibility.
Any errors that you might make while setting up your Bitcoin wallet can cost you greatly.
That's why I decided to offer some paid consultations for anyone that needed one-on-one expertise with their setup or understanding of Bitcoin, beyond the free content available online.
